Flame accessories determine how the flame reads: ceramic logs for the look of a wood fire, lava stones for heat storage, fire glass for extra brilliance and decorative elements that frame the flame picture.

Together they decide whether a fire feature only provides warmth or becomes a designed focal point of the outdoor space. All accessories are suited to gas and bioethanol operation.

How to compose your flame picture

Ceramic logs create the atmosphere of a real fireplace without smoke, ash or refuelling. Lava stones give the flame a calm base and store heat that remains noticeable after switching off. Fire glass reflects light and makes the flame appear larger and more brilliant. For contrast, combine dark stones as a base with light fire glass – the flame then stands out far more clearly.

What to look for

• Material approved for fire features – decorative gravel from a DIY store is not heat-resistant and unsuitable.
• Grain size matched to the burner – burner openings must be covered but not blocked.
• Choose the effect deliberately – ceramic logs for fireplace atmosphere, glass for brilliance, stone for warmth.
• Dose the quantity correctly – too much media smothers the flame, too little leaves the burner visible.
