Concrete Stools – Extra Seating That Works Indoors and Outdoors

A concrete stool is the most flexible seat in the house: it stands wherever space is needed – as extra seating at the dining table, as a surface beside the sofa, as a side table in the garden. Made from GFRC, it brings exactly what upholstered stools lack outdoors: weight, stability and weather resistance.

The cylindrical and hourglass-shaped bodies are hand-cast and honed. They follow the design language of the Elementi table series and combine with side tables and coffee tables from the same range – on their own as a sculptural piece, or in pairs as a small seating group.

Why concrete for a stool?

Concrete is heavy, dimensionally stable and indifferent to rain, frost and UV. A concrete stool is not blown away, does not lose its shape and needs no cushions that could get damp. Unlike wood or metal it neither corrodes nor rots – summer and winter it can simply stay in the garden without being stored away.
